The Vow ~ Written By Kim & Krickitt Carpenter with Dana Wilkerson {Book Review}

By Kim & Krickitt Carpenter
with Dana Wilkerson

Summary:The Vow tells the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, who just months after getting married, get into a horrific car accident that changes everything. Everyone thought Krickitt wasn’t going to make it, but she beats the odds, and when she wakes from a coma, she has forgotten the last couple years of her life, including meeting, falling in love with, and marrying her husband, Kim. She has no memory of him whatsoever. Through lots of physical therapy and hard work, Krickitt is able to gain her life back, but the missing years of memory never returns. Kim is determined to hold tight to his wedding vows though, and makes Krickitt fall in love with him all over again, despite the obstacles in their way, including Krickitt’s anger and resentment towards him. Ultimately, this is a story of survival, of healing, and of second chances.

Quote: "Krickitt, who's your husband?" Krickitt looked at me again and back at the therapist. I was sure everyone could hear my heart thudding as I waited for my wife's answer in silence and desperation. "I'm not married." (The Vow, Page 2 and 83)
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

The Vow is one of the most amazing true love stories that I have ever read.  The love they they have for each other is outstanding.  Kim and Kricket struggle to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of massive trauma is inspiring. Their love story shows the strength and commitment a husband and wife should demonstrate throughout their marriage.  They had to push through dating, loving and renewing their vows day after difficult day they rose above all odds.  This book is well written true story, however if you see the movie first it does not follow the book completely. This book has intimate details from the couples journey.
